“These spheres are believed to be approximately 150 million years old.

The unique scenery of the Torysh Valley in Kazakhstan is truly remarkable. There are many stone spheres in various sizes scattered all over the surface. It seems as though huge spheres fell from heaven in the ancient past.

You can find unusual Kazakhstani-shaped spheres in the country’s southwestern region. It is surrounded by mountains, deserts, and tundra.

The spheres are believed to be over 150 million years old. They are unique not only because of the age but also because they are unusual in their size and shape. Some spheres can be as large as a car, while others only measure a few micrometers.

It is equally fascinating to learn how they got there.

According to scientists who flew to Kazakhstan for the purpose of studying them, these spheres were created by huge concretions. Scientists believe these spheres of massive stone are the “ancestors,” of more recent spheres discovered in Costa Rica and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The giant stone spheres found in Kazakhstan believe they were not created naturally. They are the result of long-lost civilizations who lived before writing history.

It is, however, difficult to get to the valley of the spheres.

Nonetheless, geological theories range from megaspherulites – crystalline balls formed in volcanic ash and subsequently weathered by erosion – to cannonball concretions – a process in which sediment tends to build around a more solid core. Some claim the talks are due to spheroidal weathering. This is when the conditions are perfect for eroding rock and giving them a spherical appearance.

Scientists suspect that the stone ‘balls,’ which are not identical in size, are most likely formed through a combination of several geological processes.”
