50 Cent is facing renewed controversy as Kenneth McGriff Jr., son of infamous drug kingpin Supreme McGriff, publicly calls for royalties, insisting the rap mogul owes his success to his father’s influence in hip-hop culture.
In a recent interview on Ebro in the Morning, 50 Cent addressed the topic, dismissing the connection: “This kid thinks I’m hot cause of Preme. Nobody knows who that is outside the five boroughs,” 50 claimed, referring to Supreme’s influence.
Shortly after, McGriff Jr. fired back, sharing a clip of the interview on Instagram along with a video rebuttal. “How can you say Preme isn’t a part of your success story?” he questioned.
