The little boy lay beside her, and with all her scars and pain, embraced her for the dog that she is.
She was in the worst condition when she was discovered, having been used as dog bait for illegal dog fighting. She is presently content in a loving home.
Dog fighting is illegal. All 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands consider it a crime. Possession of canines for the purpose of fighting is also a felony offence in most states. Observing a dogfight is likewise illegal in all states. State laws and penalties differ greatly. This sport essentially entails pitting dogs against each other in order to fight, leaving them severely injured and, more often than not, dead afterward. People who profit from exploiting these sad creatures place bets on them.
Betsy is a pit bull who was rescued from this illegal and terrible practise. When rescuers discovered her, they couldn’t believe she was still alive in her state. Betsy had a large gash on her head with almost no skin on top, one of her ears was missing, and bite scars covered her entire body.
Fun times with his human buddy on the trampoline
Betsy was made into a bait dog and torn to pieces by fighting dogs because she refused to fight, and she was allowed to die after the attacks. Betsy was thankfully rescued in 2017.
The rescuers did everything they could to provide Betsy the greatest treatment and care possible. She gradually regained her strength and proved to be the loveliest dog to her rescuers. Betsy is seen happier than ever in her forever home in a March video.
A happy ending
“Betsy had a bad start in life, but she was given a second chance.” “We made her play and gave her a new life,” according to the video. Among all the pleasure Betsy is having with her new family, one moment stands out: Under the sun, lying on a trampoline and receiving a cuddle from a young boy. “Betsy is completely content,” the video said.
The man who posted Betsy’s story on his YouTube channel, Viktor Larkhill, commented, “Her treatment and transformation is one of the most beautiful rescue stories, the kind of story that inspires people to become better.”
Betsy is courageous and loving. Spread the word about her story to raise awareness about illegal dog fighting.
