A Mother’s Day dog adoption event at PetSet in Houston, Texas, turned out to be another painful day for a dog named Shiloh. Shiloh watched individuals for hours as they arrived to adopt their new babies and then left. She sat and watched for hours.
Shiloh was at the adoption event with a volunteer from the Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, and her heart broke for this dog who simply wants to be loved:
NOT A SINGLE BARK OR SOUND FROM HER. SHE WAS PATIENTLY WAITING, AS VERY FEW PEOPLE WERE INTERESTED IN HER. WHEN PEOPLE WALKED BY, SHE’D SLOWLY WALK UP TO THEM AND ASK FOR A PET.
Shiloh approached people as they walked by; she never leaped on anyone, and she is just a lovely creature that wants to be loved by her own human.
Shiloh had a similar incident only two weeks previously at an adoption event. It seemed as though she wasn’t important to anyone. We knew better, Shiloh, and now we want everyone to meet you.
At the Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, Shiloh waits for someone to love her. Whoever adopts her will be really fortunate. She is by far the sweetest dog, who enjoys cuddling and will love you totally.
Donations are desperately needed by the rescue group. They are struggling, as are most rescues, due to rising vet and boarding bills. If you can contribute in any way, WUWF would appreciate it.
